Registry intra-communitary operators
Companies which carry out intra-communitary acquisitions/deliveries/services must be listed in the Registry of intra-communitary operators.
As of August 2010, all companies which plan to carry out intra-communitary acquisitions/deliveries/services must be registered in the Registry of intra-communitary operators.
A file containing a registration request, criminal records of all associates and managers of the company among other requirements must be furnished for registration.
Companies subject to VAT who plan on carrying out intra-communitary acquisitions/deliveries/services who are not registered as an intra-communitary operator will be fined between 1,000 and 5,000 RON and their intra-communitary VAT number will be cancelled.
